#RememberHedgehogs this bonfire night – follow our tips and check bonfires carefully for hidden hogs.
This month’s top tip is all about Guy Fawke’s night. As as we know, this can be an extremely dangerous time for hedgehogs.
With new restrictions in place, this 5th November may involve more garden bonfires than organised events, but it’s as important as ever to #RememberHedgehogs.
Make sure to build or relocate bonfires on the day of lighting, to ensure there’s no hedgehogs inside. Or alternatively a barrier could be placed around the pyre. Bonfires should also be lit from one side, to allow an escape route for any hidden hedgehogs.
