Hedgehogs in the Classroom
15th August 2018
Year 4 pupils at Ely St. John’s Primary School have been learning about the hedgehog and how to protect it as part of their Science curriculum. They began with an assembly and a Hedgehog Street presentation. The children then had to do some research themselves for homework. The following week in the classroom, they put their knowledge about hedgehogs and tips for protecting them onto posters and leaflets.
Their posters and leaflets made a stunning display in the School Hall
The children were then given copies of their leaflets to post to their families and neighbours.
Their teacher, Mr Aston, said ‘We hope this will help to spread the important work to help save our nation’s favourite animal for future generations’.
