Still feeding!
-
At least one, possibly 2, hedgehogs are still nightly feeding in our feeding station. On average about 4 to 6 visits and eating well.
31st December to 1st January
3 10 minute visits to the feeding station
Hi Daweg – Same here. A few days ago both feeding bowls occupied at same time. A very big adult and little hoglet sharing and a medium sized hedgie at another bowl.
I see a hoglet and a medium hedgie every evening so far – the big guy hasn’t been seen since November so perhaps just woke up that night due to warm weather?
I am wondering if these will eventually hibernate if the weather changes?
I have two hogs still coming for food every night… during the summer I had up to 6 and I thought they had hibernated then about three weeks ago I caught sight of of a wee one and now two quite small ones are feeding every night and putting on weight.. they look OK so hope we keep this milder weather for a bit.., they also took the hay I put out for bedding…
one is quite dark and one pale… I call them sooty and sweepp.. ::)
