Hi Baldwin hedgehog
Pleased to hear you have seen some new hoglets. They may not be a second litter, though, possibly another female with a late litter. (There may be more hogs around than you think!) It used to be thought it was unusual for second litters, but not sure how climate change is affecting that. Late litters could also be because a first litter failed for some reason, or even a late hoglet from last year who did not become sexually mature until later in the season. Keep an eye out for the little ones, though, because they may not have time to make the required weight for hibernation in time.
Good that the earlier hoglets have grown so well. I am only sure of one of the early ones here still visiting, but I think they do sometimes disburse a bit when they reach a certain size/age.
