    I use a brick or small concrete block 5″/13cm in front of the entrance hole.
    Heavy enough for a cat/fox not to move but the hedgehog just travels round to the entrance hole without any access problems.

    i had that problem and narrowed the entrance way with piecs of wood superglued to the sides
