5…yes 5 hedgehogs in my garden at the same time last night. 3 large and 2 smaller ones. 2 trying to mate and the other 3 just milling around but all seemed to be accepting each others presence. I knew I had 1 greedy slug eater but 5!! so lovely to discover…beyond excited! Is this a record:)

Great to hear that you have 5 hog visitors. Not a record, I’m pleased to say (the more hogs the better!) but if that’s at one time, there may also be others visiting.
Fingers crossed for some hoglets later on – let us know.
The potential family of 5 are back every night now, its so lovely to hear them snuffling around.
I’ll definitely be making the garden more hibernation-friendly this autumn.
babies would be so lovely. There’s definitely been an absence of roadside dead hogs around this area this past year, another good thing about lockdown reduced traffic.
