Having a regular adult hedgehog and occasionally two visit our garden we were wondering if we may see some offspring. We were thrilled this week when we saw a healthy hoglet appear to feed on the hedgehog food we have put out along with one of the adults. So exciting.

    Hi hedgy corner

So pleased to hear you have a hoglet there. What a treat! You might find that the adult goes off to hibernate before the hoglet does, but if so, just keep feeding – and providing water, of course. It’s a good idea to leave water available all day every day, including during the winter, in case a hog emerges mid hibernation.

    Happy hog watching!
