Hello everyone, my wildlife camera has picked up our hedgehog resident still feeding from the feeding station . The last two nights have been very cold I’m wondering why it is still wondering around when it should be hibernating . Or is this normal ?

    Hi Lindysue

Don’t worry, the hog will hibernate if and when it’s right for it. Some hogs hibernate much later than others and some even decide not to hibernate at all. Just keep leaving out food and water. Hibernation isn’t solely related to temperature. I have had hogs not hibernating a couple of times here and they turned up regularly, even when the temperatures were well sub zero.
