Hi, please can anyone help? We have a hog that is nesting in its summer house in our garden and we have a camera to watch it at night with. Also a feeding station. Over the last week we have noticed it does not stay out in the evening for very long. Last night it came out for food then went back to bed. It was out for 20 minutes. From what we can see our hogs looks okay. No obvious ticks or injuries. Only perhaps a little slow. Seems to poop okay, but can be small. We don’t want to intervene if not necessary, but would want to help if needed. Anyone know if this behaviour of staying in at night is normal? Thanks!!

Did it only stay out for 20 mins all night?
There are a couple of possibilities here
    1. It’s pregnant / got babies in there
    2. It’s sick and needs help
I would recommend calling your nearest carer and having a chat

Yes, only 20 minutes last night. I did wonder if it could be pregnant. But will definitely speak to local carer.
    Thanks for your reply!
