Ive a mum and two/three young ones visiting.. but there are some very odd droppings… very loose and very pale almost white.. Im guessing this is not normal.. maybe temporary.. they all look OK.. and seem to be growing.. they get through enough spike.

    Hi laurabiding

Sorry your post seems to have got missed before! Hopefully the hog poos are o.k. again by now. Their poos tend to look slightly different colours depending on what they’ve been eating. i.e. if they’ve been eating a lot of earthworms their poos would look paler than if they had been eating a lot of beetles – that sort of thing. Although very loose sounds a bit more worrying.

If it happens again and you are worried, then it might be a good idea to contact your local carer (you can get contact details of your nearest ones from BHPS on 01584 890801) You could then explain to them more precisely.

Good luck. Hope the hogs stay well.
