Congrats Hedgehog awareness folk

Hi all
I recently visited my local Wilko store to buy some hedgehog food only to find they were sold out. In desperation I went to the local Pets at Home store (known not to stock hedghog food in the recent past) to get cat biscuit substitute for my spikey friends and lo and behold there was a stock of hedgehog food. I quizzed the checkout person who said due to a high number of people asking for hedgehog food in store they decided to stock it. This surely must show hedgehog awarness campaign is working and our local hedgehog community is benefiting. Great work to all campaigning. Bernard x
That’s great news Bernard and kind of explains where some of our missing hogs have got to…off to pastures new. ๐
Hi Hedgepixie,
That is good news and I have also heard similar stories at Pets Corner where I get my hog food from. They have sold out on a few ocassions and I now pre-order to make sure I don’t run out. On one of my previous visits the lady in the store mentioned that she had seen an increase in hog food sales this year which can only be a good thing.
I’m not saying that we have had a sudden increase in hogs but more that people are getting aware of their environment and what lives in their gardens etc, including hogs, and are now feeding them.
that is good news! and Amazon stock some too if you get desperate!
Ocado (through their Fetch subsidiary) stock Spikes if you use Ocado and want it delivered with your groceries.
