So sad to hear about what must have been a very upsetting experience for you. Well done for helping Hedginald – you did your best for him and that is all we can ever do. Just sad that this time it didn’t turn out well. But as you suggest, you saved him from even more pain.
You might like to add him to the Big Hedgehog Map. I always think it is a way of making it count that that hog existed and hopefully it can contribute to the welfare of other hogs.
