Whilst I would always advise against disturbing a hog in a nesting/sleeping box, from what you say you were being careful and it seems unlikely that the hog would be too upset. The worst times would be during hibernation or if there were new borns there. Hopefully the hog will stay, but even if it doesn’t there would be no way of knowing why it moved. It could be for some completely other reason.
