It does seem to be being reported more these days – hogs sharing hog houses. Whether they would share an actual nest is another matter. It could be partly shortage of potential suitable locations, but also possibly some of it may be as a result of hogs having been overwintered by carers having become accustomed to sharing. It’s possible one of the youngsters has got fed up with sharing with it’s siblings so is sneaking into another hog’s box. It isn’t so strange a Mother sharing with her young for a while, although she will probably eventually disappear to hibernate and leave them to it.
But are you certain they aren’t two Mothers, one with two hoglets and the other with one?
