Early this year my 12 year old daughter noticed a very large hedgehog walking across our lawn. So we have been feeding ‘Spike’ on a regular basis (dog food and specialist Hedgehog food) and seen him (possibly her) a number of times.

To also do our bit we bought a hedgehog house which has been down a couple of weeks with the food inside. Which is taken. Even found a very small hedgehog in there the other day having a snooze.

In my enclosed back garden I have an outbuilding where I have a have bikes, fridge, tools etc. Living near open fields we get a lot of mice. Don’t want to use poisons as cruel so we have an electronic mouse zapper. Most mornings I take one of Mickeys dependents to the local field as food for other animals.

Was wondering if I should put the zapped mice near the hedgehog house as food for spike and his friends?
