I fed Iams kitten biscuits (chicken flavour) last winter to a hog who had been used to hedgehog food. I had to switch because a rat appeared and I hoped it wouldn’t like them so much. Like you, I was worried about wet food freezing. The hoglet didn’t hibernate so it was really important he got some food. There was no problem at all with the switch and he seemed happy with them and continued to grow throughout the winter.
